Why Women Investors Matter
Women investors bring unique perspectives that drive innovation and success in startups. Despite evidence that female-led companies often outperform, they receive a disproportionately small share of venture capital. In 2023, startups founded exclusively by women secured only 2% of the total capital invested in U.S. venture-backed startups.
If female entrepreneurs received the same funding as their male counterparts, the global GDP could increase by 3% to 6%, boosting the global economy by up to $5 trillion annually.
By increasing the number of women (and in turn diverse perspectives) at the investing table, we can leverage these unique perspectives to foster innovation and drive economic growth.
